4. Fire Risk Assessments

 

The Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005, replaces previous legislation and now requires all businesses to carry out a comprehensive Fire Safety Risk Assessment. Fire certificates have been abolished and no longer have legal status.

 

The RRO also requires you to appoint one or more persons to implement the findings of the risk assessment and failure to comply with the RRO carries both civil and criminal liability.
